Currently we offer
5 different styles of
rocksliders. This can make choosing a rock slider a difficult
affair! In order to choose the right model for you there are a two variables
that must be taken into consideration. The first, and most important one is
what type of four wheeling do you plan on doing? If you are a casual
"wheeler" then any slider model we make will work for you. If you are the
type who can break almost anything then my suggestion will be to look at all
models above the standard line up.
The second concern is your
budget. We all have them, and it is an important consideration every time we
purchase something. My suggestion is to buy a model that will take care of
your needs, and the price point you can afford. Be honest with yourself, and
consider where this hobby may take you. I have had customers start out mild
only to end up with a late model SAS 4runner running the hardest trails out
there! These people would have been better served with the mid/upper line
sliders vs. the entry level sliders.
Even though the standard
is geared more towards the entry level market it has been well tested on
almost all of the tougher trails in the country. One of our specific testers
used the standard for four years, and the promise was that if he ever harmed
them I would make him a new set of whatever he wanted! Well all he managed
to do to those sliders was to put a small dent in the lower main tube after
a huge hit (unexpected huge drop off). The sliders were completely
functional, and had been through hell (Rubicon, Fordyce etc.) but we cut
them off, and gave them away to a local kid to put on his Tacoma & made a
new HD version of the S-SKO for this testers truck.

The "testers" truck Fordyce trail 2006
Standard sliders, and a Stubbs Welding custom bumper.
Sliders are sold unpainted which
helps keep the cost low. For paint we highly
recommend HAMMER Finnish spray paint from Wal-Mart. It is very durable,
cheap
and easy to spray. All of our rock sliders are weld on units
which are easy to install. Your local welding shop can do them in
about an hour, or you can weld them on yourself. We email you four page
installation manual with every set.
Make sure you stop by
OUR CUSTOMERS
page, this will give you a much better look at the sliders on several
different rigs.
